Modification and merging of two reefer containers

24-07-2017

Once again, we were allowed to execute an rather unique project for a client. This client was in need of a bigger cooling/ freezing space at a certain location, bigger than regular 40 feet containers. The client also preferred one singular unit, instead of multiple individual containers.

Based on these demands our mechanics came up with this unique result. The side walls of two different reefer containers were removed, these containers were then connected trough these sides. Without de wall in between the containers, both containers formed an extra large cooling/ freezing space. By applying profiles at the exterior of the containers, we tried to minimize the flow loss of the cooling system of the reefer. Down below you find a few images of the project, where the first image is of the project under construction. The second image is the project as delivered.
